I am so excited to be able to offer one of my lucky readers a free copy of Stitched Blooms by Carina Envoldsen-Harris.
Plus the winner also will get an actual project from the book!
Read on….

Stitched Blooms is a beautiful new embroidery book by Embroiderer Carina Envoldsen_ Harris. It’s 300 designs and motifs feature lovely floral designs, some with a folk art feel I love.
I received a copy of the book myself from Lark Books last week and it’s one of those pretty books that gets you really excited about making the projects in the book. I am looking forward to trying some of the projects, especially since finding several vintage embroidery hoops at an estate sale last week. There are over 20 projects in the book and there are even more designs, over 300, on the accompanying CD. The directions are clear, even for a beginner like myself. There are a variety of designs geared for all levels of hand embroiderers.
I think I may try to make a Mexican style top with embroidery on the yoke.

I also love that horse, calendar and tote bag!

If you would like to learn more about the book and author you can check out Carina’s About Stitched Blooms page on her blog.

As a bonus the winner of this giveaway is also going to get a project made from the book..
This pretty spectacles case below. Isn’t that cool?

I’m somewhere between never embroidered and beginner–I tried to teach myself, but wasn’t any good. My nine year-old sister was better than I was! Maybe this book could fix that… 🙂

Never tried! The closest I’ve come is cross-stitching A LOT when I was a kid. I would love to try it out as a detail on a garment though, instead of a pillow or wall-hanging. Fingers crossed!

I’m glad that some people are still hand embroidering, it seems like everyone has switched over to sewing machine embroidery.

I’m going to have to look into that book. I love the designs that you shared from it! I’d have to say I’m still a beginner stitcher. I’ve done a little but not enough to be consistent in quality if you know what I mean.;)

I used to cross stitch and embroider years and years ago but right now I’d probably put myself as a beginner! I have everything to get going again though!

Wow, what an awesome giveaway. I’ve never embroidered, but I am learning to cross stitch, so that’s a start I guess.

Hi. I am in a rut. lots of WIPs but can’t seem to finish anything. haha I think I like starting something ‘new’…

I have embroidered but I am not very precise about my stitching … more whimsical. I don’t like the pressure of making perfect stitches but I enjoy a finished piece! This book looks amazing. I would love to win a copy!
