Today I am showing you photos of Lily’s glam sequined version of the Skipper Pattern from Abby at Sew Much Ado I made for her this morning.

The Skipper pattern is a sweet little top perfect for the beginner seamstress. I had the pattern taped together, cut out, and sewn together in about an hour. Super easy, folks. And a cute and stylish basic staple. We love this sequined fabric we bought over the weekend . I plan on making myself a top with it, too. Lily picked it out. When I told her I was going to make a top for her she had her eye out for some fabric she liked on our trip to downtown LA to buy fur for her fox costume. We got two yards for seven dollars. Such a deal!

I like the curved hem and simple but chic lines of this top. Plus, it’s properly sized. I cut a size 10 and I was a little nervous because so many patterns run so large, I always have to do a lot of fitting. But the fit of this top is very ready to wear. I did no adjustments to the pattern. I think we have a keeper! I felt the fitting was true to ready to wear sizes.
