About Sew Country Chick
Hi, I'm Justine, the creator of Sew Country Chick!
I'm a wife, mother of five, and jack of all trades around here!
We moved to an old farmhouse from Los Angeles to live a more sustainable, natural lifestyle.
I sew clothes for myself and my kids, create crafty projects, for our home, and like to write tutorials to share with my readers.
If you are a potential sponsor or are inquiring about giveaways you can view my media page here.
I SEW A LOT!
So much that sometimes my house is a mess but when one of my kids says, "Mom let's play,"
I try to put my project down. Sometimes it's hard.
I also work part time as a costume designer for the local theatre company.
I love making things and sharing my ideas !
I'm lucky enough to have a few fabulous models to try my creations on, my daughters, from youngest only one when I started this blog in 2010, to the oldest, my stepdaughter, a 24 year old making her mark in the fashion world in New York City.
Now instead of going to latest "in" spot on a Saturday night, you can find me having a dance party with my kids in the kitchen...
Moving to the country was a culture shock at first , but I have grown to love it and now you can find me with my apron on, sewing, being domestic, and trying to fix things up around here.
This blog is an outlet for me to share some of my sewing ideas and tutorials.
I also like writing about how to make things the old fashioned way and living and decorating with old things. We raise chickens and grow a lot of our own food and homeschooled our kids for awhile.
We are trying to Live Handmade in a Modern World !
It isn't easy and I'm not one of those by the book types so yes, we go to McDonald's and Target too!
I hope you enjoy your visit on my blog. Like most blog owners I love getting comments and followers.
I also love to visit your blogs so don't hesitate to leave a link in your comments.
Thank you for stopping by!
