I was out garage sailing yesterday and I bought two tubs of Mod Podge, a wooden cigar box, and lots of pretty vintage buttons for only two dollars. I have been lurking around on various craft sites, especially The Graphics Fairy , and loving all her vintage images and the crafts that readers send in. So I decided to make my first Mod Podge craft.
First I printed out a lot of different images from The Graphics Faiiry and cut them out to match the shapes of the box.
I then glued them on with the mod Podge, let it dry and topped it with two more coats of Mod podge to seal it.
It didn’t seem finished like this so I glued more music note paper on the top edges and then used the glue gun to attach buttons to the box. I thought this was fitting since I will be storing my buttons inside.
The top slides closed.
I then nailed on a bigger button to slide the top open and closed.
