The whole effect is very pretty, and it is cottage-y without being frumpy. I love the bed, and your pillows came out beautifully. I'd like to see your tutorial. I plan on upgrading my little one to a big girl bed soon and am looking for decor ideas.

This is such a useful post! Thank you for gathering up some great ideas. I have been looking for a pants pantern after a couple recent not-so-great pairs I have made; I will definitely try out that simplicity pattern.

Ive been eyeballing the trouser pattern & the shorts! I barely sew for myself but if I make myself a few things, I think I'll reward myself with those 2 patterns. Thanks for the review on the pants too. I need to work on a zipper fly...if the instructions are great then it's like buying the pattern & getting a free lesson :)

I didn't know there were areas like that outside of LA. I miss living in a big city but I've also learned a lot of things I wouldn't've if I lived somewhere else- like sewing and expanding my cooking repertoire.

Great photos too! Im loving this dress! I've been trying to be conscientious about fabric shopping too. Mine is more for the economy than the environment, but I think both are noble! I wrote a post I'll publish soon...it's about fabric shopping in Dallas and what has happened to the u.S.
