We finished building the deck and I decided to throw a little party for my husband’s birthday.
So basically, I just put a bunch of our old furniture outside on the porch, and cleaned up some pieces that were lying around the yard.
I’m happy with how it turned out and I didn’t spend any money since I had all these things lying around ofrstored in my shed. Stuff I’ve picked up at yard sales, Craigs list, and thrift shops over the years…Mirror mirror on the porch wall… a thrifted mirror.A rusty beer cooler that needed a cleaning and some oiling….An old chair left by the former owners…And these old lights I bought at Target a long time ago!I pulled out my handmade banners to hang everywhere.I pulled out this old French folding bed that was folded up on my front porch. I had stored the cover in my shed years ago, and recently found it during my big shed clean up.
Then I cooked some chile verde, pinto beans, crock pot meatballs, and mac & cheese and invited everyone over !
Cucumber water and ice tea for the teetotalers.
Richard’s buddy manning the barbecue. My mom on the left! This lounge chair cover was filthy, and I almost was going to sew a new cover. But I scrubbed it with Oxi Clean and then bleach, and now it’s as good as new. Four dogs have a way of ruining your outdoor furniture.
